We could implement upload constraints for media backup process (and perhaps sync as well?) to respect bandwidth and battery.
Wifi only upload was also requested here: https://github.com/s3drive/app/issues/39
UPDATE (4th of October 2023): Uploads constraints were partially added to the background sync.

This is now implemented for both in-app and background backup in our recent 1.6.0 release.
Note: Battery not low option is available only for Android.
